Modern vehicles have electronic throttle systems, which are completely controlled by the vehicle’s ECU. Contrary to the old cable throttle systems, the throttle valve’s opening speed and how much it opens are regulated by the manufacturer’s preset values. All of this process and electronic control cause a lag in the initial throttle response, called throttle delay.
The Pedal Commander throttle response controller modifies the signal from the throttle position sensor so the valve opens up completely and changes the speed at which it operates. Then, the modified signal gets transmitted to the ECU, eliminating the unwelcome throttle lag. Pedal Commander also allows you to customize your CLE Class’s throttle response with its four driving modes, each with nine increments.
