I bought the pedal commander for my 2014 VW Jetta TDI in June of 2024. I did this because of the extreme delay from the time you press the throttle to the time the car moves and also because I have a friend with a Passat TDI that when they installed theirs that lag disappeared. That lag on mine has not disappeared but that said the performance this car has is more than I expected. I can’t give this more than 3 stars because even in the description for the pedal commander it claims to get rid of the lag.

It does exactly what it claims to accomplish on their website. It's like going back to cable throttle as far as how quick the throttle body opens and inhales the air for quicker combustion and better acceleration with little to no lag compared to the factory pedal settings. I WILL be purchasing another one soon for the wife's 2017 Subaru Outback after installing this on my 2021 VW Jetta S.

I Purchased a Pedal Commander for both my 2013 TDI Jetta Sedan and 2013 TDI Jetta Sportwagen (JSW) - like any diesel they tend to have lag, even despite the Kerma stage 1 tune and Kerma DSG transmission tune for both vehicles - these were definetely the missing piece to both cars and they made a huge difference, extremely crisp throttle response now. I set both mine on SPORT #+4 and tend to go from setting Sport #+3 and #+4 depending on where and when I am driving. Here is why I like the Pedal Commander - (1) Quality piece and well made (2) simple installation (3) simple programming (4) excellent customer service, some of the best I have had in a long time (5) fully recommend for anyone who desires the crispness and throttle response that is lacking on many vehicles from the factory, these really deliver I highly recommend buying from Pedal Commander, you will not be disappointed in the least.
