The Ford Police Interceptor Utility is engineered to deliver relentless performance and reliability in the most demanding law enforcement situations. Whether navigating urban streets or pushing hard in a pursuit, it's purpose-built to keep officers confident behind the wheel. However, the stock drive-by-wire throttle system comes with built-in throttle lag that holds the Interceptor back.

Pedal Commander® throttle response controller is a plug-and-play upgrade that eliminates throttle delay and transforms your throttle response. With four driving modes (Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+) and nine adjustment levels per mode, you can fine-tune your response to match any mission. Plus, the built-in Anti-Theft feature adds an extra layer of vehicle security when you need it most.

3.0L EcoBoost, 3.3L V6, 3.3L V6 Hybrid

The second-generation Ford Police Interceptor Utility (FPIU) is based on the U625 Explorer, and the Hybrid version is the only pursuit-rated hybrid police utility vehicle. Regardless of its powertrain, the Pedal Commander® throttle response controller instantly takes the FPIU’s performance to the next level.

3.7L V6, 3.5L EcoBoost

The first-generation Ford Police Interceptor Utility (FPIU) is Explorer-based and comes with either a 3.7L Cyclone V6 or a 3.5L EcoBoost. Regardless of its engine, Pedal Commander® throttle response controller instantly improves its performance by eliminating throttle lag.
