The Maserati Grecale is a performance luxury SUV that brings Italian craftsmanship and motorsport DNA to the compact luxury crossover segment. It pairs a striking design with a lineup of turbocharged engines, including the high-output Trofeo variant, to deliver a driving experience that sets it apart from the competition. However, the drive-by-wire electronic throttle system has lots of room for improvement. That’s where Pedal Commander® comes in.

Pedal Commander® throttle response controller modifies the stock drive-by-wire throttle tuning with Grecale-specific mapping to eliminate throttle lag. WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG?

When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. All of this process causes a delay called throttle lag. Besides, manufacturers deliberately leave the delay there because it makes the vehicle suitable for various types of drivers.

The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.
