The basic steps of the Pedal Commander installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander.

I’ve used a pedal commander in a 22 Ram Limited with a 5.7 HEMI, 23 Jeep compass 2.0 Turbo, and 23 Ford Maverick. I’ll never own another vehicle without one, they make THAT much of a difference. Having all the different settings is great as it allows for optimal driving in different situations. Not going to lie, it’s hard to stay out of sport +3 or +4, the acceleration and responsiveness is addicting (good luck with the MPG lol)

The pedal commander took a non responsive dog of an explorer to a level where I actually like driving it. The engine is a V-6 but you had to push the pedal down half way to get it moving. Hence the dog. After the install the gas pedal behaves like an older cable connected gas pedal that really moves out fast. And much less fatigue driving as very small movements on the gas is all you need to control the speed. A definite home run. Glad I did this. Not glad I waited 3 years to do it.

WOW, Night and Day Difference I was wanting more from my 16 Explorer Sport after tuning with Livernois Tuner. I read about this product and what it could do for months. Finally bit the bullet and purchased one. Took a little work to get installed. because I had to take off the bottom trim from the steering wheel so I could zip-tie the wire. But after the install and testing, all i can say is WOW. Night and day difference in how the engine responds. I tested Sport and Sport+, feels like a race car, very quick and responsive. I set to City +4 and still WOW. With the tuned ECM, this commander, and the Delta Booster for the Turbos, the Explorer will be pushing 450HP and 400+ Torque. Have taken a couple of STI's and WRX eating my dust.
