I bought a used 2015 Tacoma Prerunner 4 liter engine. I love it but it has such a slow response, just no power at all... that is until I installed the pedal commander. This plug and play equipment is for real and changes my truck's DNA in throttle response. If you have any love loss with your car or truck when you hit the pedal, you must see if they make this for your vehicle because it will change the relationship you have with your vehicle and you can trust it will move when you want it to. I am absolutely satisfied and love this. I just wish I knew about it sooner!

The Eco mode is a great idea, but it does the opposite of the other modes, there is so much lag after adjusting to City mode and above that eco makes it feel like your vehicle isn't moving until you press the pedal halfway to the floor. It would really only be useful in a school zone, or stuck in really slow-moving stop- and-go traffic!

Easy install and love the results... pedal response is unbelievable.

I recently bought a 2023 Toyota Tacoma and was honestly shocked at the lack of power on the stock V6 . I ordered the pedal commander. Not gonna lie I was really nervous about installing it. I finally did and the increase in acceleration is crazy . I love it !!!! It’s literally a completely different truck now .

Wow the pedal commander really woke up the engine. After adding the power banks intake to my 2026 toyota tacoma sport 4wd 4 cylinder turbo i noticed a huh difference in throttle respones, but after adding the pedal commander a week later, you really feel the difference, truck has no lag, 2nd and 3rd and 4th gear go thru quick and turbo spool his doing some work to go thru the gears quick. By the time you hit 5th gear your already doin about 70 to 80 mph. Used to have a lexus IS350 2021, also had a pedal commander and i love this product. I recommend you get one.

Well I couldent get it to click into place and was frustrated a bit.But my buddy installed it for me.so when I tried it I put the max just to see and MAN I was shocked by the difference it made it feel like a different engine.Im so impressed with it I used to like my Toyota now I love it and I'm not fibbing or pulling your chain it's way worth it thanks pedal commander

Easy to install quick to download the app shipping threw usps sucked my item was shipped to the wrong location 3 times and was rerouted with delayed delivery by almost a week I would recommend pedal commander use a better shipping service for future shipping

Could not be happier, I have two pedal commanders now one for my tundra and one for my Tacoma, the tundra drives like it’s turbo’d and the 4cyl taco drives like a V6, amazing product and recommend it to anyone wanting more from their truck

Very nice packaging. The price is right for the product and it does feel better to drive so I am satisfied. It does speed up throttle response in my Tacoma, but it mostly just makes it so you don't need to press the pedal as far as you do without it. The problem with the 3rd gen Tacoma I wanted to improve is mostly a transmission issue. There is a big delay in kick-down that I was hoping would be improved significantly with a quicker throttle response. Maybe it is better, but it isn't much, and I don't blame this device. However, the website with its pop-ups and flashing video is annoying. The sales pitch is over the top with warnings about the product making vehicles dangerously fast, as if it increases horsepower. I do not want or need an app to control it instead of pressing buttons. I don't want it to do theft protection. I guess I am not the target audience which seems to be teenagers. I almost did not purchase it because of all of this silliness which makes it look like a hoax. I did purchase it because I drove the same model truck with it installed and it felt better.

Couldn't imagine driving without it. Had one in my 2014 tacoma. Love it. So when I bought a 2018 tacoma. This was my first purchase for it.

Once installed I noticed a big difference in pedal response. I have a 2021 Tacoma and it now has zero pedal lag. It is great knowing that when I hit the pedal the truck responds immediately.

Our 2020 Tacoma now runs like it should! it isn't constantly downshifting when it is windy or going up a hill. There isn't lag time in between shifts. We also have bigger tires on it, and it doesn't feel like it is slugging through the mud to get the tires moving.

2018 TRD Sport has always had pedal lag. Not anymore. I thought I would be funny and set it on Sport mode 4. Now i have two 20 foot burnout marks on my new driveway. Rubber well spent. City 2 is perfect for me. No more lag and sportscar like response. Best upgrade I have ever made.

Recently, I was driving my 2018 Toyota forerunner to Clovis New Mexico. It was a two-lane highway with lots of construction in the hills and I couldn’t pass anybody so I purchased a Pedal Commander and boy what a difference it made. I also added one to my 2018 Toyota Tacoma no more pedal lag and I can pass other cars and it gives the truck much more power going down the road, especially here in San Antonio, Texas.

I love the small profile and the fact that it was extremely easy to install. It does make my truck feel a little more “peppy” off the blocks and while sketchy lane changes in faster traffic feel safer, I wouldn’t say it’s a real game changer after that. After the novelty has worn off, I’m left feeling that I paid a little too much for a gadget that ultimately delivers what it says it will (without the exclamation points) and the uneasy feeling that Pedal Commander recommends you hide it from your dealership.

First I would like to say the ordering process is straight forward, the packaging and shipping was exceptional and the couple interactions via email with staff second to none! I drive a 2018 Toyota Tacoma SR 2.7 liter 4X4. The truck has been very good to me but from the word go the truck had some of the worst throttle lag I have ever experienced. After a little back and fourth I pulled the trigger and ordered the Peddler Commander. Installation was a breeze, It took all of 15 minutes and the only reason it took that long was my wanting to run the cable neatly and out of the way! Truck started 1st turn of the key, I’m not gona lie I skipped right over eco mode, started on city mode and paired that with the number four selection laid on the pedal a little heavy and the truck jumped to attention instantly! The next day I got into sport and sport+ and I knew then I made one of the best decisions to purchase the Peddler Commander ! Let me finish with Sport+ and # 4 combination snapped my head back and I now look forward to driving my truck everyday. I have kept this review clean to this point so just let me get away with just one… THE PEDDLE COMMANDER IS BAD ASS and I highly recommend this product to all my Toyota Tacoma driving brothers and sisters! Purchased for my 2017 Tacoma to try and get rid of the pedal lag. Made a world of difference! No more pedal lag and now I can adjust the throttle sensitivity at will. I normally keep it in the city mode as this gets rid of the pedal lag while still keeping my gas milage about the same.

easy to install, have it set on ''CITY'' +1, also you can shut it off at dealership ,when it's insp. time! works for me, i'm happy with it, in time will go to +2 settings!

excellent, I have a 4-cylinder stud which always carries load on slopes , since I install the improvement in the slopes has been 100% and I suffer with the poor start that characterizes these guagua now goes up as if it were a 6 cylinders, ....super recommended

I was very pleased with my 2025 Tacoma, with everything except the acceleration. I am not used to throttle lag and it was driving me crazy! I say used to because Pedal Commander fix that problem. Now my new truck feels new all over again. I highly recommend this device. It sure changed the way my vehicle responds to the need for speed.

Looks good work very well and you do feel a big change. It does eat more gas but it’s worth it. I love it. I also added a cold air intake for extra help.

It just plane fun finding out what all the different settings do.Not found all of them yet but I will.

I fully understand that I'm not getting more HP or Torque with the Pedal Commander, but man it sure feels like I am! It was lethargic at start up and you had to pin the accelerator to get it to downshift. I live in CO, so there are a lot of hills and switchbacks, which the G3 Taco just couldn't navigate well. After the Pedal Commander its like I'm in a new truck. A different truck. I'm sure a full tune may add more transmission benefits, but for now the Pedal Commander is a great investment.

Had this on my BMW from a recommendation from a friend. Once I picked up the Tacoma I knew I had to have it for the truck. I’ve got the prerunner four door V6 and it definitely helps open her up just as expected. If you’re debating about it just do it. Worth every penny.

I’ve had a pedal commander on a previous Tacoma and loved it. Wasn’t disappointed with brand loyalty this time either. Easy to install and does exactly what it says it does. No risk of damaging wires and no splicing because of plug and play. I love it!

I have mixed feelings about this product. On one hand it put some serious pep in the throttle response. on the other hand I can't seem to find the happy setting where the car doesn't pin me to the seat when I accelerate from a stop. Overall it works well.

Why Oh Why ... did I wait so long to get this?? I have been manually shifting my Taco for 2 years. Not any longer. No more throttle lag and it now shifts like it should. No more early upshifting and when I need it to downshift on the hills it it right there. Sport+1 Great Product!

2023 Tacoma crew cab 3.5 , V6 peddle commander will not disappoint. Absolutely says what it will do. And does not disappoint. I have mine at Citi 1.0 and be ready. It’s great. My Toyota woke up !!

Not totally disappointed but I guess I just anticipated a better result. I’ve tried the setting on City 1 and found the response much too aggressive. I just couldn’t find a comfortable pressure on the accelerator. I’m trying the Eco 1 setting now and that seems somewhat more comfortable but still experience a lag or delay on acceleration. Additionally, I was hopeful for a more noticeable fuel economy. I am getting .3 more miles per gallon.

Delivered All as Promised and THEN SOME!! Pedal Commander is going to be in all my vehicles!

Install was as easy as described. I ran mine up and over the steering column and placed it under the bed light controls and hood release so securing the wiring was a challenge but worked out great. Pedal Commander work as described and the throttle response is night an day. Very happy with this product.

Love it definitely makes a huge difference in throttle response I failed to remove my key fob on the initial hookup and I had a code the next time I did it like the directions stated and installed quickly and not one issue the pedal is very touchy but with all the settings you can set it to your liking would highly recommended it to anyone

Easy to install. App works great for making changes. Installed 7/7/2025. Only issue I have experienced is check engine light came on and interior lights would not turn off after doors were closed. Took it to my mechanic and had the misfire-cylinder 1 and several ECU lost communication codes cleared. Two days without any codes. In sport mode I’m getting 19.9-20mpg.

Still getting used to it, but definitely makes a difference with your accelerator. So far city mode seems like a good fit for my occasional drives as I am mostly urban and have to drive to get anywhere. The sport and sport + are very peppy! But with power comes more gas usage so it’s a matter of finding that balance. Can’t wait to try economy on my next highway trip and see if it does improve on mileage! So far so GREAT! MAGA baby keep the product American made!!!

I really like the big difference in my Tacoma

My Tacoma was sluggish and lacked balls for a 3.5 v6 engine, specially when taking off from a dead stop or changing lanes on the freeway. I came across PEDAL COMMANDER months ago, but I was not sure if all the hype was real. I watched a couple, 3 videos and saved the 300$ to get it. Installation was quick and easy and the very night I installed pedal commander, I tested the different modes on the freeway. I could not believe the difference specially on Sport + mode. It’s very responsive and very dangerous if not paying attention. I use the city mode and that’s plenty to drive back and forth to work. I don’t have to use the power button on my truck anymore. I use the manual/ Sport shifter and in combination with pedal commander I feel like I’m driving a 100% manual transmission truck. So far so good, hoping is a good product that will last me a few years..!!

So far, the Pedal Commander I installed on my ‘23 Tacoma works as intended. My throttle pedal seemed sluggish before. After installing the Pedal Commander, just on city mode the pedal responds like one would think it should. I tried it on sport and sport + modes and the pedal response was almost scary. Installation was quick and somewhat simple with no need for any kind of computer reset, or other issues.
